BX Customs

Automated SEO Blog Engine for Car Customization

Key Result

0 → 8 blog posts per month, under €5/mo

The Problem

Bram runs BX Customs, an automotive customization business in the Netherlands specializing in car wrapping, PPF (paint protection film), and ceramic coatings. He is in the workshop most of the day — wrapping vehicles, managing his team, and dealing with customers.

He knew consistent blog content would help BX Customs rank for high-intent local searches — terms like "auto wrappen", "PPF coating", "keramische coating kosten" — but he simply could not make the time. He had tried outsourcing to freelance writers before, but the articles were generic, lacked technical accuracy, and required so much editing that it was not worth the effort.

His brief was clear: "I need content that actually sounds like it comes from someone who knows cars — and I don't want to spend hours reviewing it."

What We Built

A fully automated blog pipeline that runs inside a single Google Sheet. No dashboards to learn, no logins to remember — just a spreadsheet.

Topic Discovery

The system pulls topic ideas from six different sources: Google Search, Google Autocomplete, Reddit communities, YouTube trends, competitor blogs, and keyword volume data. All of this feeds into a "Topic Ideas" tab — pre-filtered by AI to remove spam, off-topic noise, and duplicates. Each idea comes with a suggested angle and a relevance score.

Bram scans through in five minutes and ticks the ones that resonate.

Content Generation

Selected topics are turned into full blog posts — but not in a generic way. We configured the generation pipeline with BX Customs' specific context: their services, their tone of voice, the brands they work with, their location, and the kind of customer they serve.

A key design decision: we built strict rules against AI-sounding patterns. No "In today's fast-paced world..." openers. No filler paragraphs. The articles read like they were written by someone in the automotive industry.

Each article includes an SEO-optimized title, structured HTML with proper headings, a meta description, relevant tags, and three suggested cover images. Everything lands as a WordPress draft with a public preview link — Bram reviews articles in his browser without logging into WordPress.

Publishing

Bram's weekly workflow: check preview links, mark articles as approved, click schedule. The system distributes posts evenly across the week — two per week, published automatically.

Performance Tracking

Google Search Console data is pulled directly into a "Performance" tab: impressions, clicks, click-through rate, and search position for each published blog. Bram sees which topics drive traffic, informing future topic selection.

The Result

BX Customs went from publishing zero blog posts to a consistent 8 posts per month. Within the first three months, multiple posts began ranking on page 1 for long-tail Dutch search queries related to car wrapping and PPF.

Bram spends roughly 15-20 minutes per week on the entire content workflow. Total monthly cost for AI and data APIs averages under €5 — roughly 95% cheaper than outsourcing to freelancers, with better technical accuracy and SEO structure.

"I used to feel guilty about not blogging. I knew it mattered for Google, but I just couldn't make time. Now it runs in the background — I check my sheet once a week, approve what looks good, and the content just goes live."

Technology

  • Google Sheets as the single interface (custom menus)
  • Google Apps Script for the automation engine
  • AI models for topic filtering and content generation
